Introducing Pocha de Marie, a hidden gem located at 5349 Avenue Gatineau in Montréal, QC. This Korean eatery offers a delightful fusion of traditional Korean flavors with a modern twist. From their popular Fiesta Kalbi Feast for two to their Namul Combo appetizers, Pocha de Marie showcases a diverse menu that satisfies all taste buds.
One of the must-try dishes at Pocha de Marie is their BBQ Coréen, a choice of meat served with enoki mushrooms, rice, and cabbage. The flavors are rich and savory, making it a top choice for meat lovers. Another standout dish is the Buritto Kimchi Bokkeumbap, where tofu, bulgogi, samgyupsal, jeyuk, or dakgalbi are rolled in a tortilla and served with kimchi fried rice, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream.
As a food reviewer, I was impressed by the quality and authenticity of the dishes at Pocha de Marie. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Whether you're a fan of Korean cuisine or looking to try something new, Pocha de Marie is definitely worth a visit.
If you want to eat quality food and have an amazing service staff, you are at the perfect place. Did not know what to expect from my Korean Burger but it was wonderful. To compare it with a normal good burger, it would be: Same same, but different. Juicy, great taste and the sauce was awesome. As starter I had the Tteok Gochi, new to me but directly a fan of it. If you have questions, just ask the staff, really helpful and knows the menu by heart. I will definitely go back to this Restaurant and can only recommend to everyone to try it.
Great food, service and portion. A long time customer especially with deliveries through Uber. As a korean I can recommend it fully. Food is delicious and there's a good variety. Authentic food available as well as a couple of interesting fusions. Never leave here or eat food from here disappointed and always the envy of the office when I need to order some food. Can thoroughly and happily recommend to all.
Pocha de Marie never fails to amaze me, the holy grail is without a doubt the tteokbokki this is what dreams are truly made of!! ...
small Korean place with great food. The kimchi burger was absolutely fantastic. so was the bimbimbap. it was great portion size and price value. place wasn't too crowded either, but the food was fantastic. a real great hidden gem. for decor it's not your party place but it's a great family restaurant.
Chef Marie has some wonderful takes on home cooked Korean comfort food. Everything on the menu is delicious and in generous portions. The restaurant owners are very friendly and really put their all into the food. By far the best Korean restaurant in CDN.
I ordered a kalbi fiesta along with korean fried chicken and tteok gochi. It wasn’t my first time ordering from Pocha de Marie but their food is consistent and getting better everytime! The portion is very generous and most importantly delish. Highly recommend this place! One of the best korean restaurants in mtl in my opinion.
I'm not the biggest fan of Korean food, but I came here as part of a large group and was pleasantly surprised. The service was prompt and extremely welcoming, with a great deal of knowledge about the food and drink on offer. There was no issue with us fitting a group of 14 in the place, but I'd call that the absolute limit you could fit without a lot of squashing. The food itself was delicious and packed a punch. I had the bulgogi kimchi burger with onion rings, and it was delicious. Wholeheartedly recommended, even if you're not typically a fan of the cuisine.
I don't usually write reviews, but having gone to this restaurant I felt that I just had to! My girlfriend had the Korean bbq (pork belly), which was delicious and of good portion. However, I have to say that the bulgogi Kimchi burger that I had was better. I typically do not like fusion food, but this was done just right and the combinations of bulgogi, brioche bun, kimchi all fit together nicely. You also get served (unlimited) roasted barley tea, which was refreshing and suits well with the meal. Service was also excellent. So definitely try this out!
